That was a disappointing lesson I learned. Can you make a blanket with a knitting loom? Just because the project is smaller (let’s say socks vs a sweater) it doesn’t mean that it will go faster if the peg count you are using is the same. And 60 pegs being knitted on an extra small guage loom will take the same amount of time as knitting 60 pegs on a large guage loom. Just keep in mind that regardless of the brand you choose, if you are working with a smaller gauge than you are used to, there will be an adjustment period. They are a nice quality, and though they have come up with a few looms that work just like the KISS looms, they still have the familiar peg style of the KKs. But I will also tell you that the DecorAccents looms are my second favorite. They are just so flexible in the uses you will need them for. ![]() Like baby booties to mittens to adult hats on the same loom. And the creator came up with the adjustable looms that allow you to increase or decrease in the round (useful for decreased crowns on hats or increasing for thumb gussets on mitts or gloves) and it also makes it possible to make various sized items on the same loom. Also, to be noted, you can get from a small/regular gauge (really depends on the knitter’s tension) up to a larger gauge than the KKs with just one loom. ![]() But with the KISS looms, those pins allow you to wrap an entire row at one time, even if you have to put purls in there, and then come back to knit off your pegs.
